The BRIGHTON JAPAN AWARDS are dedicated to the advancement of UK/Japanese culture, arts, community and other sectors. The voting is provided by the general public with presentations for the corporate and non profit awards being made during the pre festival gala dinner and the community awards during the festival.
HOW DOES IT ALL WORK
Each year Brighton Japan showcases the best of Japan though the Festival. In 2013 we wanted more, so we've introduced The BRIGHTON JAPAN AWARDS so that various businesses and in some cases, individuals can be recognised for their outstanding achievements and contributions. All of which will be chosen by you, the general public.
There will be two award ceremonies. The Corporate and non profit awards will be presented at the Pre Festival Gala Dinner (13.09). The Community awards will be presented during the festival on 22.09.
Nominations for the Corporate Awards start on 04.02 and end at midnight on 04.05.
Nominations for the Community Awards start on 04.02 and end at midnight on 04.05.
The nominations will be counted and the 10 finalists in each category will be put forward for the final vote.
At 10am on 06.05 voting will begin for the top 10 finalists throughout the categories.
Voting for the Corporate and Non Profit Awards will finish at midnight on 01.09.
Voting for the Community Awards will finish at 6pm on 15.09.
You will be able to vote via Facebook or online, however you will only be allowed one vote per category per email address or facebook login. The final results will provide us with the final 4 finalists in each category.
The top 4 finalists in each categories will be invited to attend the appropriate ceremony where the winners will be announced.
